Morphology of Foxglove
Its plant grows up to 6 feet in height. The lower leaves are larger and denser than the upper ones. Its leaves resemble tobacco leaves. Their upper part is yellowish green in colour and the lower part is somewhat red and grey in colour. They have soft hairs and the edge is round and serrated. From between the leaves an erect floral flag of approximately 1 foot long emerges which has flowers from bottom to top which are similar to sesame seeds but slightly bigger than sesame seeds. These flowers can be purple, yellow or white in colour. Its seeds are small, light and numerous. The plant blooms between April and May of the second year and then dries up after the seeds are formed.
