External appearance (morphology) (Rohida ki akriti)
It is found in the dry regions of India. It is used in heart and eye diseases. Its flowers are like pomegranate flowers, so it is also called pomegranate flower. The bark of its flower is red, so it is also called red flower.
Its tree is straight, 3 to 4 meters tall and of medium size. The bark of its trunk is thick, slightly curved, rough from outside and grey in colour. Its leaves are simple, spread in opposite direction and are broad, rectangular, spear-shaped, shiny like pomegranate leaves. Its flowers are orange in colour. Its pods are long, broad, thin and curved. Its seeds are broad. Its flowering and fruiting period is from January to June.
