Do you know that Dhatura which is poisonous is considered as a panacea in Ayurveda. It cures many diseases. It is mostly used for hair. There is a herb in Ayurveda which is used even though it is poisonous. It also contains some nutrients which are very beneficial for your body.

It is found all over India. Black Dhatura is found in some places. It is more powerful than other species of Dhatura. It is divided into five parts on the basis of flowers. It is white, red, blue, black and yellow in colour.

It is a straight 1 to 2 meter tall and flexible bushy and branched plant. Its stem is straight and has rounded branches. Its branches are crooked and green and light red and purple in colour. Its leaves are simple and smooth and are of the same size as a leaf. Its flowers are straight and bell shaped of purple and white colour and divided into five parts. Its fruits are flexible and round and oval with pointed thorns. Its seeds are smooth, brown in colour and flat and thick, smelly, rough and bitter in taste. Its flowering and fruiting period is from July to February. Dhatura should be used as per the doctor's advice.
