External form (Morphology)
It is found in tropical areas of India. This medicine is found in forests, hence it is called Vanapsa. Its flowers are used in medicinal purposes. Its plant is small in size. It is a plant that spreads on the ground. Its stem is very small. Its branches are small, thin and weak.
Its leaves are long like Brahmi leaves, heart shaped, cut and green in colour. Its flowers are yellow, white, purple and pink in colour. Its fruits are spherical and have three valves. Its seeds are very small and smooth. Its root is thick, knotty, yellow and green in colour. Its root is astringent and pungent in taste. Its flowering period is from July to November.

In Cough (Vanapsa for cough)
- To get rid of the cough, consuming the powdered Vanfasha flower is beneficial in cough, hoarseness of voice and pediatric problems.
