Do you know that what you consider as Lord Shiva's tears, i.e. Rudraksha, has many benefits which people are still unaware of. Wearing its garland protects us from many kinds of physical and mental disorders. There are many such medicines of Ayurveda about which you already know something. But Rudraksham is also a medicine. Which has many benefits.

According to Ayurveda, wearing Rudraksha beads is beneficial in diseases like cancer, heart disease, blood pressure etc. Apart from this, it is used to reduce diseases like epilepsy, smallpox, fever, thirst, liver etc. It calms your Vata and Pitta. If there is pain in any part of the body, you can also use Rudraksha.

It is found in Nepal, Myanmar, England, Bangladesh and Malaysia in the world. It is found in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Bengal, Assam and Maharashtra in India. Many types of species are found according to the shape of Rudraksham seeds. But mainly Rudraksha is used.

Its tree is 18 or 20 meters tall, medium sized and evergreen tree. The bark of its trunk is grey and dark in colour. Its leaves are long, broad, smooth and are attached at the end of the branches. Its flowers are white in colour. Its fruits are purple in colour. When it is unripe, it is green in colour. Its seed is called Rudraksh. Its fruiting and flowering period is from February to June.
